IPL and swelling?

Postby Peter D » Sat Nov 12, 2011 8:00 pm

Hello Dr. Lam,
Is it normal to have swelling for a few days after IPL laser treatment?
Does IPL affect only the dermis or does it penetrate into deeper layers?
Thank you,
Peter

That sounds normal but I always defer to your provider. The IPL works at different levels depending on which one u had. However, in general u r right, it works principally on the dermis and epidermis.

ambrose5,
i should have clarified this earlier but the point of this forum is that someone asks me questions then i answer. it is not meant for a free exchange of comments about things. sorry about that.
