Hi Dr. Lam,
I was wondering if you might be able to crack this mystery. I am an olive complected person and tan easily in the sun. But when I'm not out in the sun my skin color on my face is normal. My problem is I have really dark eyelids that do not match the color of my face. I've heard that the skin is thin in that area and it could be the muscle color underneath.
What is your best guess on the reason I have this? Regardless of what is causing it is there any way to permanently lighten them? I'm embarrassed to say I've tried concealer. And although I love the way it balances the color I really don't want to be limited to wearing make-up to not look like a zombie everyday!
