Indented Scar from Dermatend

Postby turnerj0516 » Thu Nov 03, 2011 5:05 pm

Hello, I am a 17 year old male, and I had a large mole on my face for a very long time. I used a product called dermatend, and although it removed the large mole, the area on my face where the mole was is now a depressed scar. It is fairly indented, and this is not something that I have ever experienced before. I have bought four products in the hopes that they will reduce the visibility and depth of my scar:

1) Palmer's Skin Success Eventone Fade Cream
2) Mederma Scar Gel
3) Derma roller
4) Glycolic Acid

If anyone has had any experience using any of these products please let me know. I am really freaking out about this large indent on my face, and I'm willing to do just about anything to fix it (my parents will not allow any type of surgery) Any response is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

i don't think any of those will honestly work. i would probably wait it out to see over a period of several months to a year if the collagen will repair itself and fix the indent. if not, then a permanent filler like artefill or silicone would work to fill in the defect most likely. if you do not want something permanent or cannot wait for that time, then restylane or a temporary product that you could reverse if the collagen repairs itself could be used.
best,
