This section of the forum is dedicated to discussions on various surgical techniques for facial rejuvenation, including fat transfer/fat grafting, browlift, blepharoplasty (cosmetic eyelid surgery), facelift, etc. Also, this category includes questions on hand rejuvenation via fat grafting. (Of note, Dr. Lam does not perform body rejuvenation except for hand fat grafting)
I am nearly two weeks post op from my face lift and noticed moderate swelling in one cheek/jawline area this evening. So now I look very asymetrical? Is this unusual to have swelling at this point? Will it go down or equalize soon? Would iceing it at this point help?
swelling at 2 weeks is normal. even some alternating swelling where one area looks worse than the other. lymphatics continue to clear the swelling and there can be good and worse days, as things improve over the next few weeks. best, sml
