I just had botox injections 4 days ago to the areas between the brows, the forehead, and the crowsfeet. I am still seeing a slight indentation between the brows, does it usually take longer than 4 days for it to even out? I've had it done before, between the brows, and seemed like it took less time, and it also lasted about 8 months, which is great!
botox can take anywhere from 24 hours to 2 weeks to take effect. in general, it is pretty consistent time interval based on a person's physiology. however, obviously, there can be some variability. also, remember that botox typically really only lasts 3 months. if you are lasting 8 months it means one of three things: 1. you are very lucky. 2. it is really not lasting that long but you are just stopping the habit of frowning. 3. it is not lasting that long but what you are seeing is residual muscle show because you are not getting it often enough to really weaken the muscle. i liken it to exercise. if you go often your muscles become stronger stronger and stronger. if you botox something consistently enough it gets weaker and weaker and weaker and then you don't need it that often anymore. best, sml.

Okay, I am just now today noticing more of a difference. Well, I doubt it's because I'm frowning less, probably do that a little more than I'd like. My dr. told me I was one of the few that has said that it lasted that long. Now that you explained it, makes a lot of sense about being compared to muscles when they are being worked often. I've been a little apprehensive about the whole botox thing and getting it done too often. Still not sure about the safety issue.
botox is very safe for the long run. it has been around on the cosmetic market since the mid-70s. watch all my videos on botox and you will understand my philosophy much better: http://www.lamfacialplastics.com/galler ... gs_/Botox/
