Hi Dr. Lam, I have a very round face with a really strong jaw that I am very self conscious about. In fact, I'm already getting botox jaw injections from you However,I am thinking about the possibility of a chin implant. Is it possible to get a chin implant that could make my face appear slimmer? I have a very boxy looking appearance to my face with wide cheeks. I am concerned about the chin implant making my face look more masculine. Thank you for your help and consideration.
hi, a few things: 1. if you do not have an under projected chin then a chin implant is not good for you. if you do, then it would be. 2. if you are in your 30s or beyond, a chin implant sometimes can age you because it shows more bone. fillers or fat are typically better. i can slim a face sometimes using fillers or fat effectively by emphasizing the front of your face. in short, i would have to see you again to help make that determination. best, sml
