PRP and Needling

This section of the forum is dedicated to discussions on managing, treating, and correcting acne scarring. (Of note, Dr. Lam is focused principally on acne scarring rather than on managing the ongoing condition of acne, which a dermatologist would be better equipped to address.)

Hi Dr. Lam,

Do you think that PRP treatments in combination with skin needling can improve acne scars?

personally, no. i have tried needling without success. i recently saw a patient with PRP that i do not believe made much difference. i am open to thoughts though but i am not totally convinced at least not right now.

I see. It seems like every new technique that becomes available does not work and ends up being a disapointment. I hope there is something that can be done in the near future.
