Cross Limitations

This section of the forum is dedicated to discussions on managing, treating, and correcting acne scarring. (Of note, Dr. Lam is focused principally on acne scarring rather than on managing the ongoing condition of acne, which a dermatologist would be better equipped to address.)

Cross Limitations

Postby scarface » Mon Aug 29, 2011 3:13 pm

Dr Lam,

If the scarring is the right type for CROSS, does it work every time on everyone?
Is there a limit to the number of CROSS treatments that are performed?
How much are results dependent upon the patients lifestyle, i-e smoking, exercising, nutrition etc?

I shared my pictures with you earlier via private msg, i wanted to know is it possible to fly in for consultation and treatment the same day? And how long does the treatment take?

thank you

If the scarring is the right type for CROSS, does it work every time on everyone? OBVIOUSLY, NOTHING WORKS 100% ON EVERYONE. HOWEVER, I HAVE HAD GOOD SUCCESS WITH THE FULL REALIZATION THAT WITH ACNE SCARRING NOTHING IS PERFECTLY SUCCESSFUL.

Is there a limit to the number of CROSS treatments that are performed? YES, IF THINGS ARE NOT IMPROVING BY THE THIRD ROUND, I WOULD NOT CONTINUE TO PUSH IT. IF THINGS ARE IMPROVING NICELY, THEN IF I THINK YOUR CASE WOULD BENEFIT FROM 1 TO 2 MORE ROUNDS THEN THAT WOULD BE FINE. I DO NOT SEE A POINT OF GOING BEYOND 4 TO 5 ROUNDS IN GENERAL.

How much are results dependent upon the patients lifestyle, i-e smoking, exercising, nutrition etc?
I DO NOT THINK THOSE THINGS MATTER THAT MUCH EXCEPT SMOKING THEORETICALLY COULD MAKE THE TISSUES RESPOND LESS WELL BUT THAT IS ONLY A GUESS ON MY PART.

I shared my pictures with you earlier via private msg, i wanted to know is it possible to fly in for consultation and treatment the same day? And how long does the treatment take? YES, YOU CAN. IT TAKES ABOUT 5 TO 10 MINUTES BUT THE FIRST TIME YOU COME YOU MUST TAKE PHOTOS, SIGN PAPERS, DO A MINI CONSULT, ETC. JUST DO NOT GIVE ME TOO TIGHT A TURNAROUND TIME TO DO IT FOR YOU SO THAT I DO NOT WANT YOU TO MISS YOUR FLIGHT.
best,
sml
