LAM FACIAL PLASTICS

Hi, I have suffered with Keloid scarring for many years, mainly on my back, chest and upper arms. A few members of my family also have them but I seem to be the one with the most mine where caused through acne. Up until recently I have never thought about having a tattoo. I was wondering if anyone has had a tattoo, and how it's turned out? I have googled it a bit and have got a mixed reaction. Some saying because the needle doesn't go deep in to the skin, it wont scar with a keloid? I only seem to scar where my body is covered up, so wondering if I had a tattoo on my wrist, it would be ok? I did scar on my ears after having them pieced, but they have since healed up pretty nicely after taking out the ear rings. I don't know if skin colour has anything to do with it, but I am white. Any advice please?

i am really a specialist of the face, which is the focus of this forum. however, in my estimation, it probably won't be worth the risk but you can ask your dermatologist what he or she thinks.
