Dear Dr. Lam,

If I have TCA Cross performed on a Friday, would I be able to wear makeup by Monday? Would I be able to return to a job where I am visible to the public and cover up the redness somewhat within a few days? Also, I have read that I would have to wait about a month or so in between Cross Treatments. Is it okay to wait longer if I needed to due to work?

Also, can you fill in a hole left due to having a mole removed with Silicone or could you do TCA Cross on the hole?

generally, i like at least 5 days before makeup is applied. it depends on how small the hole i treat is. if it is tiny you could do it earlier but still i would not advise it. yes, you can wait longer than a month. in fact, someone with very tiny holes i wait at least 3 months to allow for collagen growth so that i don't over treat any areas. for the hole after a mole, i have to see it. sometimes i use silicone and sometimes i use TCA.
