Hi Dr. Lam, I just got a rhinoplasty, chin implant, and lower lip reduction. I'm currently 12 hours post op and half of my lower lip feels completely numb...to the point that i cant talk. I read that permanent numbness could occur, could I have that??
although i cannot speak with you about your case (which you should direct to your surgeon), i can at least say that for my patients complete numbness is very normal after a procedure like this. most likely you will not have any permanent numbness. sml

i really can't answer that since i don't know what was done by whom. in general, it should look good. best, sml

hi, again, i want to emphasize that it is medico-legally precarious for me to comment on early postoperative questions and photographs. you really must ask your surgeon. the only time i comment is when someone is months out from a procedure and wants to ask me about a possible revision. but when it is early, i cannot take responsibility to say something is good or bad. hope you understand. best, sml

Hi, Dr. Lam. I am now 2.5 months post op and >95% of the swelling seems so have resolved thus far and my assessment is overly positive. I have a question, is there any other procedure that can benefit my appearance now that I have seen the amazing result of my current op? I was thinking cheek augmentation in particular. Feel free to point out any quantifiable flaws in my face.
my personal feeling is that everything looks good including your cheeks. i would not do anything further. best, sml
