This section of the forum is dedicated to discussions on managing, treating, and correcting acne scarring. (Of note, Dr. Lam is focused principally on acne scarring rather than on managing the ongoing condition of acne, which a dermatologist would be better equipped to address.)
as i explained, the risk of infecting the silicone with dirty needles.

I'm glad to hear that's your only concern with needling because I'm very careful and sanitize everything each time so I don't foresee that ever being an issue for me.
Another question, I have an appointment to see you on Monday and I use retin-A and a vitamin C serum daily, do I need to stop those the day before or anything in case we do TCA? THanks

Hi Dr, I'm looking forward to seeing you on monday, excited to finally get some real improvement in my scars! Also, since I'm flying all the way there it would make sense to treat my under eye bags too, I saw your photo gallery of before and afters for those and some are really amazing, I would love to get some improvement like that. I've had them since I was little and can't stand it. It seems there are so many different ways to treat it though.....botox, HA fillers, artfil, etc. What do you think is the non-surgical solution for under eye bags? I know it seems that fat grafting is the best but I won't have time/money for surgery. Thanks again
ideally, i prefer artefill but that requires a skin test with at least 72 hours wait time to make sure you are not allergic. nevertheless, restylane works 85% as good as artefill and is cheaper. we are also having a discount right now of $50 off each syringe if you buy 2 so not bad. we can do it the same time. just let me know what you would like. i do really nice work with it. best, sml

Ok, sounds good, I really want to improve that but I'll wait till I get there and you can look at me and tell me what you think and if it will be cost effective for me. Thank you, see you soon

Hey Dr Lam, I saw you this last monday and had the tca, silicon and restylane injections. I'm really seeing the difference underneath my eyes and liking that a lot, it makes me feel much better. I remember you saying not to think anything of the results for the first week though. Was that in reference to under the eyes also? Or were you just refering to the silicon? I'm just curious if this is what I'll look like for a while..................
no, sorry for the confusion. the restylane result is immediate with a little bit of loss after a week. the silicone is also immediate but a lot of that can just be swelling so don't get too excited about the silicone just yet. glad you are liking the results so far. thanks for traveling so far to see me. best, s.
