Dear Dr Lam,

I am experiencing side effects from a corrective lip reduction performed two months ago and wondered if you could help. I had some fat graft taken out of my lip with a fat injection syringe, and I can feel some degree of emptiness in the lip, as in free space. Also, there are lumps in the lip itself and some bruising. It doesn't look too bad but I believe it's slightly fuller than when the fat was in there.

Is there a reason for this? Would I need another reduction performed with better technique or should I wait for thing to resolve?

hard to say since i have never met you and have never taken care of you. however, i almost always ask patients to wait at least 6 months before deciding on a revision because sometimes it can just be swelling and healing issues. you should ask your surgeon those questions.
