Upper lip lenghtening

Postby Ike » Sat Jun 25, 2011 8:45 pm

I had all my top teeth pulled and bone grafts and implants - but it has all resulted in aging me by looking like i have no teeth when my mouth is relaxed and slightly opened - something I seem to do a lot. Don't know what caused my bottom teeth that never showed before to become completely visible when I talk. (Happened same time as my upper dental work!) I am only 51 and when I look at pictures of older female celebrities they show more top teeth than I do. You can see 10 top teeth when I smile and the front six when I talk- but not as much as before. I have very thin lips and want to get a small implant in the top and medium in the bottom- which I know will make my teeth show less - good for the bottom - not so good for the top! So what do these older celebrities like Cher do that keep their top teeth and not their bottom showing? And at the same time have full lips? It seems from your other post you do not like lip lifts? Can anything be done?

i don't have an easy solution especially if you are a gentleman (which i think i am inferring from your name) in which you cannot put makeup to cover the incision. if you have absolutely paper thin upper lip and a long white lip then only a subnasal lift would help if you are willing to accept a scar. if you have already a decent red lip but just a long white lip, then i would definitely not do a lip lift which can cause the upper red lip to show too much and look weird. for the bottom lip to reduce teeth show you might consider filling it with silicone micro or some other filler. oftentimes a full lower lip looks younger without the risk so much of looking fake, which can be the case with too full an upper lip in an older non-rejuvenated face that would not match the lips. btw, i hate solid implants. they feel and look unnatural and some can shrink over time. watch these videos to understand some ideas i have regarding what you are asking for:

if you like, you can also watch these videos on silicone safety if you are unaware of it:
