Hello Dr. Lam - I had a surgery on my lower lip back in Feb 2005 to reduce the size. However, the surgery did not go well and the size of my lower lip still is big enough. I have attached a picture for your review. I'd like to get my lower lip size reduced as I have trouble talking in meetings and also socially very uncomfortable. Can you please take a look and let me know if I'd be a good candidate to get this procedure done? Can the size of my lower lip be reduced by this procedure? I can send more pictures if required. Hello Dr. Lam - I contacted your office earlier today and am considering scheduling the procedure in the first week of August.

Before that, I have the following questions -

On my lower lip, I have a scar(from my previous surgery). After getting the procedure done with you, will that go away?
Also, my lower lip shape has slightly changed after the surgery. Can that also be corrected?
Can my lower lip regain the natural look that's not present now?

Please advise.

1. it looks as if the scar resides in the area of my excision so most likely i will take that away.
2. i can discuss with you about shape and naturalness when i see you but i don't think your lip looks particularly unnatural. i just would like to help you with the scar and the still full appearance but i can reduce various parts of the lip if one area bothers you more than another.
