Hi dr. like some of your patients here I am a victim of a procedure I wasn't fully aware of. The 1st procedure I had done was about 8 yrs ago it was a very minimal procedure I just had some cartilage in the both sides of my nose remove to lessen the roundness of my nose. It looked fine and proportionate and I liked it but when I smile I still found it a bit round so I wanted that scrapped off again. For my 2nd procedure done last july, the doctor told me he would scrape the excess cartilage and add some tip since the tip of my nose looks flat and I would need alar trimming as well to make it proportionate. I was very hesitant since I was very scared of the scarring. But the dr. re assured me very little scarring would appear. Btw, I am a chinese decent girl.=)
My dilemma is that the second procedure went all wrong. I find the tip disfigured and not well centered as they molded it from the removed cartilage. I guess it is not notice-able if you don't stare directly at my nose but the alar trimming they did is really bad from the front. You could see the connection from the front and when I put make up it makes it even more visible as the make up bulks around the areas. The scarring from the sides is not notice-able but the front is just so obvious.
My question is, is their anything I can do with the scar that seems to be lowered. Just make it flattened. And how many time can an operation be done to the nose (closed style).
I hope you can help me, like some of the people here I am also a bit depress and shy to see friends. I hope you can reply to my post. I would also love to send yo a photo but Im not sure how. Thanks.
