This section of the forum is dedicated to discussions on mole removal, Dr. Lam’s philosophy, technique, and results regarding removal of facial moles, nevi, and other facial lesions. (Also see, Scar revision and keloid management forum.)
Dr. Lam, I recently watched the documentary of Tracy and her mole removal, and I am so impressed with your knowledge and care as well as your staff's courtesy. I currently have two moles on my face which I would like removed for my wedding day on October 1, 2011. Both have progressively increased in size over the years, and the larger one continuously becomes infected with pimples due to the thick hairs growing there. Your staff suggested I post a picture in this forum so that you can assess both moles and inform them of a possible plan. Thank you so much for your time, and I hope to here from you soon.

hi, yes, you look like an excellent candidate to have these removed. i would have to make an incision because when a mole is raised it also has the same depth. these should heal well but i would remove them ASAP so that there is at least a few months between you and your wedding to minimize the chance that the incision would still be visible and also gives me time to do dermabrasion if need be. if you live in dallas, i can do it for you. however, if you don't the logistics of managing it may be too much to handle with frequent postop visits to make sure things heal well. best, sml
