Looking the best I possibly can

Postby WantBetterLooks » Tue Mar 29, 2011 6:23 pm

I'm a 19 year old male who is not satisfied with my appearance. I am scheduled for a rhinoplasty in May and would like to know what else lacks in my face that can be fixed. Would I look better with a chin implant (chin is small, but not underprojected) and a cheek implant? What else can be done to make me look better? I plan to do all of this in the summer after the nose job.

I would say the nose is about it. If the chin is not underprojected, I would leave it. I would not over reduce the nose or it will feminize you and change your ethnicity into something unnatural. Be conservative.

Also, do I have the potential to be above average looking with a good nose job?

looks are always a matter of taste. in men, a good body, a good spirit, good grooming, good diet with good skin care, and great confidence all matter as much as facial features. that is coming from a facial plastic surgeon. hope that helps.

Sorry to trouble you again, but I was posting in another forum and someone was saying I have a weak lower jaw and chin and would require a "sliding genioplasty" to correct this. Do you think I should look into this procedure? And do you agree with that assessment?

it is hard to tell since i am not looking at you but i do not think so. the indications for a sliding genioplasty are the same as for a chin implant for all intents and purposes.
