This section of the forum is dedicated to discussions on lip enhancement/augmentation and lip reduction/correction/revision procedures using injectable fillers and/or surgery.
I got an unknown substance injected into my lips in a salon years ago, and since then I have had 2 lip reduction surgeries to correct it. I am happy with the shape of my lips now, however the skin above the upper lip sticks out much farther than the actual lip itself. It is especially noticeable when I smile. I already had two lip reductions, but the top of the upper lip is still too puffed out. It is way bigger than the lip itself, and looks unnatural. How do I correct this? I have enclosed pictures. If anyone can offer advice I would appreciate it; thank you!

even though i do a lot of lip reductions, your situation lies beyond my scope of expertise for two reasons: 1. the lip outside of the red lip is very hard to reduce. i cannot do that without risk of scarring. 2. your incision sits right at the mucosal and skin edge meaning that if i made my incision anywhere else you may have a flap loss or loss of blood supply. this is not an easy one. i am sorry.
