Hi Dr. Lam

Wanted to get your opinion on Aquamid vs. Silicone for lip enhancement. Both are considered permanent fillers however while Aquamid is TGA approved for use in Australia and many European countries for use as a cosmetic filler Silicone is not. However Aquamid currently is also not FDA approved. Is it all really a bit of hype and the reality is they are both safe and effective in the hands of an experienced and qualified injector?

What are your thoughts?

i really have no experience or knowledge about Aquamid since it is not FDA approved here in the States. i wish i could comment but should not since i am not a practitioner of this product.
