I wanted to know what you would suggest for the following: my upper lip has, in its middle, a sort of hanging chad of flesh. (I have included pictures). When I smile, or speak, this hanging chad obscures my front two teeth in a way that has come to bother me. Do plastic surgeons operate on this sort of thing; just simply excising it, in order to make the upper lip more flat across its underside? Or is a lip lift more appropriate?

I'd appreciate any suggestions you may have. By the way, on your suggestion I bought and read "The Happiness Hypothesis," and believe it is the best thing I have read the past few years.
