Reducing both lips size?

Postby LRpatient091 » Sat Feb 12, 2011 6:15 pm

Hi Dr. Lam, my name is Danny and unfortunate enough develop rather large lips to my liking. I really have been considering finding a way to surgically reduce them, and came across your site. I really want to know that theres hope for me. Here are my pics.

Is it possible to reduce them to a significant amount, but not make them thin but just average sized?

yes, you look like a good lip reduction candidate. i should be able to reduce them to a smaller size that would be "normal" but without over thinning them for you. if you are interested give my office a call on monday, 972-312-8188 or 888-866-3388. let me know if you have more questions.
best,

I'm definitely interested in the near future. It's just now I really have to save up for this operation. You will definitely see me in the future! Thanks for answering my questions, much appreciated :)

I forgot to mention I live in Virginia and would need to travel by plane there.

I have another question. When my mouth is closed and at rest my upper lip appear to be smaller than when opened/smiling because there's more lip tissue going in my mouth than out. Would this be a problem?

The reason why I ask is because one surgeon I consulted with said it would be difficult to do the upper lip because it wasn't a simple 'remove a strip of tissue and let the lip roll back' sort of procedure. What are your thoughts on this?

I might not be describing it right, so I took a few pictures to give you an idea what I'm talking about.

Notice how you see more of my upper lip when I open my mouth? Just by looking at these pictures, do you think it would be a complicated procedure?

I understand if you want to reserve your judgement until you actually see me in person.

no, i get it now. it looks very straight forward. there is nothing abnormal about this. you just need a standard lip reduction and that should help with your appearance when you open your mouth and when you do not.
