Anesthesia pain

Postby mauve0002 » Wed Dec 22, 2010 2:00 pm

Hello Dr. Lam
I'm interested in getting an open rhionoplasty but I' afriad of the anesthesia needle. It looks extremely long. On average where are the injections adinistered and approxiately how any are given. I know it varies. Besides safety and disatifaction, this is my biggest fear. How does general anesthesia vary from general anesthesia? Does it affect needle size? Please say soething comforting because this is the only thing holding e back!

that should be your least concern because under general anesthesia, YOU FEEL NOTHING PERIOD. the procedure also does not really hurt afterward either.
best,

Thanks! what about the pain of the anesthesia needle going into your skin before the actual procedure, that is my actual fear.
