hi dr lam,

i'm very interested in getting double eyelid surgery done during the summer (most likely in june). could you approximate how long it will take for the crease to look natural (i know it will take a while for it to be completely natural but so that so it isn't extremely obvious/swollen) with the full incision method? do you think a month is enough for it to look natural? i have thin eyelids with a small crease by the way.

i live a few hours away from dallas but i don't know if my parents are willing to make two trips (one for the consultation, and one for the actual procedure) because there are a few clinics i'd like to visit in houston as well. is it possible to do a phone consultation and if everything goes well do an actual consultation and procedure on the same day?

sorry if this is a lot of questions! i just want to make sure i'm well informed before going through with the procedure.

1. yes, i can do a phone consult followed by the actual consult a day before or on the day of the procedure. i did that for a girl from toronto today. i did a phone consult in september and just did her procedure today. very easy to do. just call my office 972-312-8188.
2. to look natural completely it takes a year. at a month it looks pretty good but still slightly too high. most people take 6 weeks to 3 months to really like it. again 1 year for full naturalness but really should not be that obvious after the first couple to few months.
