Sunken cheeks

Postby Jacksonsmama02 » Thu Dec 02, 2010 8:25 am

Hi, I am 38 and have a long thin face. As I have aged, the area of my face under my cheekbones has really hollowed out, giving me a gaunt apperance. I am interested in filling that area out and looking younger. I was wondering what your suggestions would be and the average cost for procedures? Also, about how long do they last? I can not afford to do a fat transplant at this time.
Thank you so much!

if you cannot afford to do fat grafting then i can do temporary fillers that would not be very expensive. if you just want to do the cheeks i could just do a single syringe in most cases (but some need 2 to 3 syringes to get the results but not many in the cheek area that is) that would be 500 some dollars ish. however, most people at 38 are starting to hollow under their eyes, into their chins and elsewhere so what people typically spend on average to get a great result with fillers at 38 years of age is anywhere between 1000 to 2500 depending on their budget. typically i can get a pretty good result at 1500 ish.
best,

Thanks for your information Dr Lam! Can I ask about how long the fillers last?
Thanks again.

typically in 6 months to a year you have to spend about half of what you spent to upkeep it and then typically again even less the third to 4th round. most people hold it well (not everyone). the exception would be the smile lines or lips that tend to burn out very fast sometimes as soon as 6 weeks.
