it is actually harder to reduce an ear that is only minimally sticking out for several reasons:
1. you have to have a ton of experience not to over correct it, which i do fortunately. most doctors are used to taking care of huge reductions and can easily over reduce an ear that needs minor changes. see my before and afters to see minor to major changes in ears depending on how far they stick out.
2. when someone has a tremendously sticking out ear any level of improvement is concerned a grand slam. when someone needs very minor corrections then the degree of change has to be extremely precise. sometimes the ears can relax a little bit and then the person may think it was not reduced enough. that rarely occurs in someone that has a very protruding ear. in most cases however, i can perform every safe minor reductions so long as you understand there is always a possibility of minor relaxation with any case. with realistic expectations i believe i can help most (but obviously not all) cases of protruding ears based on desires and realistic objectives.
best,
