Hi Dr Lam.
I saw your response to a post about saline injections. I recently had a acne cyst on my chin injected twice, four days apart with a low diluted cortisone.
I now have a great fear of atrophy. I know it was extremely wrong to have it done. Honestly, I don't know why I would ever do that. But I did and now I'm horrified of what might happen. I only had it done this morning I feel pretty confident I will experience an indention.
I live here in the Dallas area had was praying someone could please help me.
I'm interested to know if being proactive and getting the saline injection could possibly help atrophy from occuring or do I need to wait to see signs of it first?

the incidence of atrophy with very dilute cortisone is low so i think you should be fine. there is still a chance however and that is why i don't prefer it. unfortunately, as far as i know there is no prevention.
