Reduction Cheiloplasty

Postby egyptsown » Mon Sep 20, 2010 9:26 am

Hi Dr. Lam, I want know if it is normal to have limited lip mobility 3 weeks after having lip reduction surgery. My upper lip feels and looks tight when I try to smile, as if there is no elasticity in it. Is it typical to feel a lack of elasticity 3 weeks after having this surgery? How long does it take for this tightness to subside and for smile to go back to normal and regain full elasticity? There is also slight posterior lip swelling, and numbness in some parts of my lip, is this typical at this point post-op?

Thanks
egyptsown
