Wanting otoplasty, few questions

Postby nyc1981girl » Thu Aug 26, 2010 12:32 pm

I have been thinking of otoplasty my whole life, but more so over the last two years. I am older, 25+ and things that are important to me in life are coming up. Thinking of how i will wear my hair on my wedding day, being able to go in a pool and not fear having my hair slicked back and show my ears :( my right ear is fine in shape, just sticks out. my left ear sticks out and is a bit pointier than normal. i realize i have to go on a consoltation but is it possible to get them closer to my head and make the left one more round on top? or if they are pushed back will they still stick out a bit on top? do they band the top backif it does stick out more even against the head?

i knnow a surgeon who will do it but i am nervous to go in and see him. i am embaressed. :(

also, i did what a few people probably have done before. used super glue to push them back here and there when i need ot have them back against my head and i wonder if he will know i have done that and not let me get it done?

i realize i have to go on a consoltation but is it possible to get them closer to my head and make the left one more round on top? I REALLY WOULD NEED TO SEE IT. or if they are pushed back will they still stick out a bit on top? THE GOAL IS TO CREATE A BALANCED RESULT WHERE I EQUALLY PULL BACK THE TOP AND THE CENTER, AS NEEDED. do they band the top backif it does stick out more even against the head? HMM, SHOULD NOT BE.
also, i did what a few people probably have done before. used super glue to push them back here and there when i need ot have them back against my head and i wonder if he will know i have done that and not let me get it done? MOST PEOPLE DO NOT NOTICE BUT OBVIOUSLY CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT SOMEONE WILL OR WILL NOT NOTICE YOU.
