Questions about Asian blepharoplasty

Postby npham31 » Thu Jul 22, 2010 1:21 pm

Hello, I had a few questions in regards to the Asian blepharoplasty procedure as both of my eyes are mono-lidded.

1) Would it be possible for the consultation to happened within the same week (or few days) of the procedure? As I will be traveling from out of town and want for all to be done within one trip but with the same careful and diligent surgery.

2) If the Doctor is available in August (I know it's soon but I wish to have the operation before the school semester starts.) because if not I'll have to wait until the Summer in another year... and that's too long.

3) Will the swelling go down a significant amount within 2 or 3 weeks? I understand that it can take up to a year for its shape to take place but as a student on campus from 9AM-4PM, I don't want to look like a victim of domestic violence (I remember seeing my mother's eyes after the operation.)

4) After the operation, how many check-ups and visitations are required? I plan on staying, if all things fall into place, for about 3 weeks around the DFW area.

5) Is there any other way of contact, like email, besides this forum?

Thank you in advance.

N :D

WHAT I TYPICALLY DO IS DO A PHONE CONSULTATION TO SAVE YOU THE TRIP. THEN I DO A FORMAL IN-PERSON CONSULTATION AN HOUR BEFORE THE PROCEDURE TO VERIFY EVERYTHING WE DISCUSSED. I DICTATE A NOTE AFTER A PHONE CONSULTATION SO THAT I DON'T FORGET WHAT WE TALKED ABOUT.
2) If the Doctor is available in August (I know it's soon but I wish to have the operation before the school semester starts.) because if not I'll have to wait until the Summer in another year... and that's too long.
I DON'T KNOW BUT CALL MY OFFICE FIRST THING TOMORROW TO CHECK. 972-312-8188 OR 888-866-3388.
3) Will the swelling go down a significant amount within 2 or 3 weeks? I understand that it can take up to a year for its shape to take place but as a student on campus from 9AM-4PM, I don't want to look like a victim of domestic violence (I remember seeing my mother's eyes after the operation.)
THE FIRST 2 WEEKS ARE BAD. IT STILL CAN LOOK UNNATURAL AT 3 TO 4 WEEKS. IF YOU ARE A MAN IT IS HARDER TO HIDE. IF YOU ARE A FEMALE, IT IS A BIT EASIER WITH MAKEUP AND FOR BOTH SEXES GLASSES. BUT I CANNOT PROMISE YOU YOU WILL LOOK GREAT AT 3 WEEKS.
4) After the operation, how many check-ups and visitations are required? I plan on staying, if all things fall into place, for about 3 weeks around the DFW area.
YES, ONE WEEK OUT I NEED TO REMOVE SUTURES. I RATHER DO IT BECAUSE I DO NOT TRUST OTHERS TO DO IT. BEYOND THAT YOU DO NOT NEED TO FOLLOW UP. WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU IF YOU WERE IN TOWN BUT THAT IS IT.
5) Is there any other way of contact, like email, besides this forum?
FOR PHOTOS, ETC. YOU CAN EITHER SEND ME A PRIVATE MESSAGE ON THE FORUM OR SEND ONE TO MY EMAIL ACCOUNT DRLAM@LAMFACIALPLASTICS.COM. FOR PRICING AND SCHEDULING QUESTIONS, YOU CAN EMAIL CONSTANZE@LAMFACIALPLASTICS.COM OR MARCY@LAMFACIALPLASTICS.COM NOT BOTH PLEASE. BUT I TEND TO RESPOND VERY QUICKLY. THEY MAY TAKE A FEW DAYS TO RESPOND. IF YOU WANT A RAPID RESPONSE ABOUT PRICING AND SCHEDULING, YOU MUST CALL MY OFFICE. THEY ARE OPEN NOW FOR ANOTHER 20 MINUTES.
best,
