hypertrophic scars on cheeks

Postby john23 » Thu Jul 08, 2010 6:34 pm

I have various hypertrophic scars on my cheeks from acne. most are bump like only visble in a certian angle.
I was wondering base on your experince is it easier to treat hypetrophic scars or indendt acne scars.
Also what are the risks that I run that the hypertropihc may become indendt scars, during your treatmeant.

honestly, it all depends on how bad your hypertrophic versus your indented scars are. i would say sometimes managing hypertrophic scars can be easier but not always. sometimes it can be harder. i use 5-FU injections and KTP laser. i doubt it would cause indentations after managing a hypertrophic scar.
best,
