This section of the forum is dedicated to discussions on managing, treating, and correcting acne scarring. (Of note, Dr. Lam is focused principally on acne scarring rather than on managing the ongoing condition of acne, which a dermatologist would be better equipped to address.)
hi dr lam. I tend to have scarring on the temple area of my face and hardly any on my cheeks. Does this matter or is improvement still the same regardless the location.
the temple is an area that technically is one of the hardest to treat because the skin is so thin and there is very little subcutaneous fat there. it can look lumpy if injections are done wrong. i am very good with temple corrections because when using silicone micro i can pulse the injections with tiny droplets into the deep dermis to create a better lift that remains safe. as in all things dealing with acne scarring, results are never as good as one would like but improvement in this difficult area i think i can help you with after i evaluate your situation in person. best, sml
