LIP Enhancement done with liquid Silicone

Postby desparia2glam » Wed May 26, 2010 7:41 pm

I got my lips enhancement 7 years ago was told is was Collegen being injected, but did not go away after 6 months like Collegen the Dr. that did the procedure was caught practicing in Ca with no Ca license. So was shut down and she disappeared no way for me to contact her. I was not sure of what was injected in my lips that day but new that it hurt at times when bumped accidently. I am not Happy with the way they look I wish I new at the time it was Liquid Silicone but am not sure of that either since it has not gone a way I am assuming that is what it is.....you can also see that there is discoloration showing on top of the lip, that I try to hide with cover-up. Can you help with this??

hmmm, i have no idea what was injected but it was most likely not silicone. i have no idea what is going on. you might want to try a medical-grade bleaching product, 4% hydroquinone, if your doctor thinks it will work.

because i have never seen darkening with silicone product. it could be. who really knows at this point. it is very hard to reduce white lip. i don't think your red lips look that bad based on photos. of course, they are just photos and i may be misreading things.

hmmmm, now this photo looks TOTALLY different. the top lip looks way too big. the bottom lip looks fine. if you are showing too much bottom teeth, i don't think the answer is to make the bottom lip bigger. i would consider making the top lip smaller but i am concerned since every photo you show me looks different. a bit confused.

here are some pictures eyes and lips. As you can see the lower lid shows the white of the eye when before she removed coolegen from inside the lid was upto the pupil. So since the coolegen is not there it has caused that pull down look but the upper lid was not touched. As for the lip on the top one looks bigger then the other bottom lip is big.

1. as far as the eyelid area, i do not think you need fat transfer or fillers. as far as the way to fix the eyelid drooping, there is no easy answer. although i am not an oculoplastic surgeon, i typically know their answers. if you do not have a functional dry eye problem, they most likely would not do a skin graft there because cosmetically it may worsen the result. unfortunately, there is very little else that i can recommend based on the photos. if you are interested in improving your condition, don't fill it, but seek a board-certified (american board of ophthalmic plastic & reconstructive surgery, which i am not), fellowship-trained oculoplastic surgeon for further advice.
2. as far as the lips, they don't look that bad in these photos but i can reduce their size if that is what bothers you. there is a bit of bumpiness in the top central and bottom left but i don't think they look that bad at least on the photo (cannot speak for in person since i have not met you). if the size is more the issue, then i could do a lip reduction. if it is the bumpiness, may not be worth it but i could discuss that with you further (which should be improved during a lip reduction if that is what you would like to do). hope all of this helps.

can you reccommend a Ophthalmic surgeon for me, are do you suggust just to leave it alone. I do have a problem with redness in the eyes and dryness that I always use eye drops to keep them moist. thank you for all your advice very well appreciated. Wish I would have viewed your eye video 7 years ago. You are right it does change your identity...

a pm is a private message, which i sent you. however, now with the bottom image, your eyelid does not look as bad as far as position and i do see the hollowness. filling the hollow with fat transfer or fillers may be a good idea by an experienced injector, again only based on the photos.
