Lip Reduction 2 times

Postby hamster » Sun Apr 04, 2010 8:01 pm

Hi Dr Lam
I am an asian. I have a full upper lips and my upper mouth looks protruded so i went to 2 orthodontists to have it check and they both have the same answers that theres nothing wrong with my jaw/teeth alignment.
I have undergone upper lip reduction 3 years ago but the result was not good.
1 the shape was different it kinda look like a bit of a triangle (the center is a lot thicker than the sides.
2 assymetry (the left side looks thinner)
3 scar and when you touch it you could feel some bumps

I am considering a correction for this and was wondering if do you visit or sometimes go to asia to perform surgery?
What do you think should i do
I really need your advice and help for this

Thank You and Regards

i reviewed the photos. you look like a good candidate for lip reduction for both lips based on the photos. i do not see a lot of asymmetry or scarring from the photos but i do see that the lips still could be aesthetically reduced to be less ethnic in size if you are interested.

If you take a look on the area between the nose and the upper lip it looks like theres bit of protrusion. Is it possible to correct that too?
My original lip shape is different from now. The middle part of my upper lip did not reduce do you have an idea why it didnt become smaller the same way the sides did?

based on what i am seeing (limited by a photo), it appears possible. i do not know why your central lip was not reduced, as i get good reductions in that area. look forward to take care of you when you are ready.
