Asian Bleph Reversing Suture method

Postby megalodon » Sat Mar 20, 2010 8:49 pm

8monhts ago i had double eyelid surgery
the one were they used permanent stitches suture method or dst method

after 3months one of the sutures break ,and causes one of my eyes to feel unbalanced
and i also got an triple fold when i opend my eyes
3months later i went back to fix it .,after 2weeeks i looked normal again
but after 1month the problems came back

now i just want my old single eyelids back again
so removing the permanent sutures is the best choice for me
because its really destroying my life

I just had my consult with an western eyelid surgeon
he told me that its possible but he coudnt garantee it
he has more than 20years of experience ,but only does western eyelids

so im really worried that he can,t find the stitches ,and remove it
because he isn,t familiar with this method

hope you could tell me more about this procedure
what the risks are and my options

my operation is planned on 12april

my feeling is that is very difficult to reverse a double eyelid procedure of any kind. if you came to me, i would say i would not be able to do it. if you had purely a suture technique, that could be feasible theoretically. however, IMHO it is still very unlikely. beyond saying that, i cannot comment further since this forum is not meant to give you direct medical advice.
best of luck,
