fat lips

Postby mauve0002 » Sat Feb 13, 2010 11:03 am

Hello Dr. Lam
There is no question to weather i want to get a lip reduction because the answer have always been YES! but i know u have been asked this question before but i dont't understand how u RESHAPE the lips during a reduction. the whole tube thing went right over my head. the top of my lips commonly reffered to as a "cupit bow" is not as defined as i would like it. its more round, there is a slight crease but not defined very welll. is there any way you could make that crease deeper during the reduction so my top lip would look more shapely?
I have been reading around and doctors are saying there is a way to create that crease in lips but that sounds way too good to be true..is that so?

hi,
1. reshaping the lips is a technique in which i take more from one part of the lip than another so that the lip is reduced more in one part than another. therefore, the result of the lip reduction is that the lip has more shape. sorry, this is hard to explain. when you come to see me, i will draw it for you.
2. i don't work on the cupid's bow. some people put fat or fillers there. i think it can lengthen the white lip too much and i don't like that look.
best,
sml
