Botox used for contractures in the arms

Postby admin » Tue Feb 09, 2010 9:35 am

Dr. Lam,
Recently my girlfriend received botox injections in her arm muscles to help muscle spasticity. Do you have any knowledge of how this works and how botox can help with muscle contractures?

Thanks for your time.

botox paralyzes a muscle from moving temporarily. it is used for spasticity because of this fact but i do not perform it for that reason. you should ask her physician regarding that use.
best,
