radiesse

Postby shannonday10 » Tue Jan 01, 2008 12:32 pm

Dear Dr. Lam,

A board certified plastic surgeon injected too much radiesse in my cheek/nS area. It looks terrible.

How long will radiesse take to totally dissipate? And will my original cheek contour come back?

Thanks.

bad radiesse

Unfortunately, in the cheek area it can last up to 2 years or beyond but most cases last about 8 to 14 months. If you are lucky it will subside in 3 months or less but that occurs in less than 5% of people. Sometimes, the best answer to correct the problem is to balance the cheek by filling above it (under the eye: NOT WITH RADIESSE!!!!) and under the cheek (submalar region) with any product but preferably Restylane so that you can reverse it if you don't like it. Please watch my vlog in my media center on good and bad cheeks to understand possibly why your cheeks look bad.
hope that i can help,
sml
