Devices for toning and lifting

This section of the forum is dedicated to discussions on various surgical techniques for facial rejuvenation, including fat transfer/fat grafting, browlift, blepharoplasty (cosmetic eyelid surgery), facelift, etc. Also, this category includes questions on hand rejuvenation via fat grafting. (Of note, Dr. Lam does not perform body rejuvenation except for hand fat grafting)

Devices for toning and lifting

Postby Zoya » Sat Dec 26, 2009 10:50 am

Dr. Lam,
There are quite a few devices out there that are designed to tone facial muscles (e.g. Magic Wand, Face Master, etc.) Some send electric impulses to the skin, whereas others do "shots" of oxygen. I'm wondering whether there is a relationship of using those on regular basis and facial fat loss. What's your opinion? (people claiming that they lose fat because of lazer treatments or IPL procedures made me think of this question - could it be the same principle or they're too weak for that). Thanks.

i don't know if enough to comment intelligently. however, most likely these devices do not do anything positive or negative for the face.
best,
