Chin implant and buccal fat removal

Postby user27 » Fri Nov 27, 2009 9:41 am

Hi Dr Lam,

I am very intrigue with your work especially after seeing a couple of your videos. I got a few things I hope I can get your advice on. Firstly, I'm 27 years and have a chubby cheek, especially around my buccal fat area. I also have a lack of chin and thinking of getting buccal fat and chin implant. The only problem is I'm afraid after the buccal fat removal I will look too hollow. From your experience, would a chin implant be sufficient enough to provide you with a harmony face and make the illusion that your buccal fat area seems smaller?

obviously, everything is a question of balance. i would need to do a consult with you to give you proper advice. however, in general, i am opposed to buccal fat removal because in almost every person they lose enough of it in a few years time with aging. chin implants should only be done if they fit your face/gender/etc. i don't just put one in but do so if they would help balance your face. everything is a question of artistic judgment in my opinion.
best,
