Dimples

Dear Dr. Lam,

Why do some people have dimples? Does it have to do with the density of their cheek tissue or is it related to the muscles? Thank you for your time.

great question. i have no idea except that is the way they were born. it has something to do with how the muscles pull on the skin. beyond that, it is a mystery.
