Bronzing after fraxel treatments

This section of the forum is dedicated to discussions on managing, treating, and correcting acne scarring. (Of note, Dr. Lam is focused principally on acne scarring rather than on managing the ongoing condition of acne, which a dermatologist would be better equipped to address.)

Bronzing after fraxel treatments

Postby meganamos03 » Tue Sep 08, 2009 11:49 am

Hi, Dr. Lam
I had my last fraxel treatment on Aug. 14. About 3 and a half weeks ago. I have heard that bronzing occurs. My skin is still bronzed and I wanted to know if this is something that I should be conserned about. Im not sure if this could be caused by the sun but I do always where sunglasses which covers the area that was treated. Is this something that I should be conserned about and how long does it normally take for this to subside in other patients. I am pretty light complected during the winter and more olive complected during the summer. if that helps anything. Thank you for your time!

again, this question falls into the "do not touch" category. i do not comment on people's immediate postop situation by another doctor. you simply need to talk to that doctor about your situation. it is not fair, safe, or legal for me to respond. sorry about that.
best,
sml
