Hi Dr. Lam I was watching some of your videos on youtube, and have a quick question to ask you about the actual procedure and how much pain is involved.

One of the videos had a women in an operating room lying on her back, and it appeared she was having fat drawn out from her abdomen and injected into her face. Was this women awake or was she fully sedated?

I had always thought that the patient was fully awake and the pain was minimal and only a bit of anaesthetic was used in the injection area's.

she is sedated. awake, fat transfer is unpleasant. there is no pain during and there is minimal discomfort after. fat transfers typically do not hurt.
