Lower Eyelid Crease

This section of the forum is dedicated to discussions on various surgical techniques for facial rejuvenation, including fat transfer/fat grafting, browlift, blepharoplasty (cosmetic eyelid surgery), facelift, etc. Also, this category includes questions on hand rejuvenation via fat grafting. (Of note, Dr. Lam does not perform body rejuvenation except for hand fat grafting)

Lower Eyelid Crease

Postby abc123 » Sun Jul 12, 2009 1:08 am

Hello Dr. Lam,

I would like to lower my eyelid crease a little, probably 1 or 2 millimeters.

Is this something that is possible?

Is this something you have experience doing?

Is this very risky given that I have had double eyelid surgery once already? What are the additional risks, if any?

Will the healing time be longer given that it is a revision?

Thank you.

in my hands i cannot do this. it is very very hard to do successfully and reliably even in the best hands. for those who are older and have lost fat in the brow or who have had too much fat removed, i put fat back into the brow to slightly lower the crease. however, that change in crease height is unreliable too. i do it more for better balance and improved contour not for lowering.
best,
sml
