Dr Lam, I have been living with pain in the back of my head and neck, going all the way into my right shoulder for months. My dr has told me that the tension in the back of my head and the right side of my neck is causing the problems and it is affecting my functioning. I have been given muscle relaxants and a pain reliever, used ice and tiger balm and tried exercise to no avail. I was wondering if botox would relax the muscle and relieve the tension and pain. I can't sit for long or type at length as it is too painful and seems to be getting worse. I am prepared to try anything that will help and will not require pain meds. Have you had success using Botox in this area?
i have not done botox for that specific indication. i have done it for migraines and specific trigger points. however, not just for overall pain in the neck. i would say this much: GET ROLFED. it has saved my life. rolf, or structural integration, if you have not tried it, involves relaxing fascia/connective tissue and the pain can magically go away. i don't make any money from michael solberg who is in my building, but he is a tenant. if you are in dallas, contact michael at solbergcenter.com. if you are out of town, find a great rolf practitioner!

Thanks for replying Dr Lam. I haven't tried being rolfed, and I live out of state. I have only tried cranio-sacral and depp tissue/sports. Will look into it.
