Silicone, Medical Roll-CIT, or ???

Postby bjsmitty » Wed Apr 29, 2009 10:46 pm

DR. LAM,
I recently found your site and just in the nick of time. I have really run out of options and unfortunately have tried so many procedures that I have nearly exhausted my bank account. I had a mild to moderate case of acne scaring up to two years ago when I went for a basal cell consultation and ended up doing a Erbium Laser procedure for my cheeks. Sadly, my face got about 30% worse in the process. I am not sure what happened neither is the doctor who performed the resurfacing. Since that time I have had a number of Fraxels including an fx and a deep fx resurfacing, even a couple of dermabrasions. NOTHING has helped. My skin has really started to deteriorate even more. I used to be a very public person, now I have retracted to the shadows and feel a bit of a recluse. My scars are small, but all over my face, with several deeper boxcar scars in my middle cheek area. Would you treat boxcar scarring with silicone injections? If so, what about all the shallower scars I have? I've been reading up on the Medical Roll-CIT and have seen some people making improvements over time with that procedure. Have you used this procedure? I am in the process of getting my pictures from my most recent Plastic Surgeon and will be sending them to your office. I could really use your help and advice.
Thanks so much,
Smitty

boxcar with silicone not so much. silicone is for larger holes and rolling deformities. i have not tried the CIT for acne scarring just fine lines without much success. i would try it out to see what kind of result you get.
best,
