ok im not sure if you have heard of this procedure or not but a few clinics in japan and one here in the UK are starting to use autologous adipose derived mesenchymal stem cells, for the treatment of various skin conditions including the repair of depressed acne scars. Basically the stem cells are taken fromt the patients fat and then cultured/multiplied and reinjected either alone or with fat into the depressed areas.

i was just wondering what your thoughts are on this procedure as i have quite alot of mild to moderate acne scars i would like to improve.

This is also being done by a clinic in the UK (just started recently). The doctor there also does PRP injections

Any thoughts

honestly, it is something that i don't think we do over here. i just put fat into a gentleman from australia who needed it for acne scarring but he also needed it for volume so i am hoping to get both effects. i have an example of this in my acne scarring section but if you don't need overall volume, i won't do fat for you for acne scars because it is too risky. i may give you too much volume in the process, which is unacceptable. plus, God knows if the stem cell will consistently work for someone.
