I just learned my sister just gave birth to a newborn baby girl in New York! Don't know name or weight yet. 6 pounds something or another. just wanted to share!

Was born at 12:04pm today. She was 6lbs, 2oz and 19.5 inches long. Both she and Vina are happy and healthy. I'm sure Vina will post more photos to Flickr or what have you in due course, but I've attached a couple to this email as well.

it will be a little while before i see HER. my mom is going up next week. yes, we call our government Uncle Sam. my running joke (getting a bit old now) is that you will have to pay me your taxes!

Oh, sorry about "him", we, Spanish-speakers, always have a problem with remembering and distnguishing his from him, her from hers, we associate that anything linked to a "he" will be followed by "him" or "his", while it is not the case, in, say, "her husband". We have the tendency to naturally say "his husband", which is totally wrong... but somehow it's a language difference hard for us to keep in mind! sorry if it sounded like I had not paid enough attention to what you said about her!!!
