Upper Cheek Reduction?

Postby user757 » Sun Feb 08, 2009 9:26 am

Hey Doctor,

I am a male looking for an upper cheek fat reduction...if this is possible. I am not looking for a buccal(lower) fat cheek reduction but I instead want an upper cheek reduction. Now, I have no idea if this is possible as I have not seen a surgery that removes this fat brought up anywhere. I am not sure if this is because no one wants it done or if it is because it is not possible. It seems most want fuller cheeks, but for males this does seem to be as attractive and I believe I saw you say that in one of your videos. I come from a family of people with very large cheeks/large faces. I am in pretty good shape, but when i smile my cheeks began to force my eyes closed, and when my face is in a normal position my face still appears heavier than it should. By using the dreaded two finger technique I can achieve the look I want by simply pulling down a tad right on the middle of my cheeks. This pulls give me nice flatter cheeks and fuller eyes when my face is in a normal position, and when I smile it does not force more eyes closed. So I guess the question is, through surgery or any other form is the removal of this upper cheek fat possible? Thanks alot.

Simply put, I don't do that. I think the risk of fat reduction in the face is that it can lead to an uneven result so that is why I personally do not perform that. Therefore, if you want this done, you must find another surgeon. I'm sorry. Hopefully, you will find someone qualified to do this for you.
best,
