Botox of the Jaw + Orthodontics

Postby tak85 » Sat Dec 27, 2008 1:21 pm

Hi Doctor,

I am planning on getting invisible braces in the next couple months and I was also considering getting botox to reduce my jaw. If i get the botox done first, and then go in for my braces (ie. getting my teeth impressions and scans etc) will there be issues with my braces treatment? Just wondering since they both involve my mouth region.

Thanks!

hmm, that is a great question. IMHO i truly believe there should not be any issues. i can't foresee why that would be a problem. however, i would like to defer this one to your orthodontist in case i give you the wrong advice.
best,
sml
